You don’t need a crisis to come to therapy.
If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or like something isn’t quite right—this is a place to begin.
Many people come to therapy not because of a single event, but because something in their life feels off.
You might be feeling flat, anxious, or lost in the middle of a change.
You might be questioning where you’re headed, or carrying a kind of sadness that’s hard to explain.
Therapy can help you understand what you’re feeling, why it matters, and how to move through it with more clarity and care.
The Waiting Room Psychology is a quiet, thoughtful space for adults seeking support with emotional change, anxiety, identity, grief, and life transitions.
Led by psychologist and psychotherapist Hayley Caulfield, the practice offers in-person and Telehealth sessions grounded in warmth, insight, and steady clinical care.
You don’t need to have all the words. You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need a place to start.

Therapy at The Waiting Room Psychology is offered to adults (18+) experiencing a range of emotional and psychological concerns.
You don’t need a diagnosis to begin. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to be willing to look inward—and allow yourself to be supported.
Areas I often work with include:
Generalised anxiety, worry, and overwhelm
Grief and loss—including disenfranchised or ambiguous grief
Life transitions—career, identity, relationships, family
Fertility, motherhood ambivalence, and social infertility
Self-doubt, perfectionism, and self-criticism
Relationship difficulties and relational patterns
Feeling emotionally stuck or unsure of what’s next

My approach is relational and reflective. It’s grounded in psychoanalytic and systems-informed thinking, which means we look beneath the surface—not just at what’s happening in your life, but why it feels the way it does.
We might explore early experiences, attachment dynamics, patterns in your relationships, or parts of yourself that are in conflict. We’ll also consider how your environment—family, culture, systems—has shaped your story.
This kind of therapy isn’t about advice or quick fixes. It’s a slower, steadier kind of work.
The aim isn’t just to feel better—it’s to know yourself more deeply, and to move through life with greater clarity, choice, and emotional freedom. -
